Best things in life are free, and I agree. Here are 5 awesome WooCommerce compatible themes:

1. Dark Shop Lite

Free

You’ll like the dark, elegant ‘ambience’ this theme is capable of creating.

Dark Shop lite

Dark Shop lite  is described as “a great solution for eCommerce or small businesses”, and that’s the perfect way to sum up this theme.

Dark Shop lite is compatible with WooCommerce, Jetpack (favicon and logo), EasyGoogle Fonts, Contact Form 7, bbPress, BuddyPress, and Subscribe 2. It’s not as fluidly responsive as you would want it to be, but it does adapt nicely to changes in screen dimension without sacrificing desktop-friendly design (which, let’s face it, is more likely to convert your visitors).

It supports WPML and has already been translated into a number of languages.

2. AccessPress Store

Free

This theme cements my faith in an updated version of what I said earlier. “Good things in life are free, but you’ll need to dig ‘em up from down deep.”

accesspress store

That’s how I found AccessPress Store. It’s used by thousands of other eCommerce websites, so you know it’s not just me harping on.

This free theme is WooCommerce compatible, looks fantastique, packs sliders, advanced wishlists, featured products, CTAs and more modular design elements that you can have fun playing with.

3. Alhena Lite

Free

Like the name, the theme is sweet and simple.

Alhena Lite

Alhena Lite’s coup de grace is its superb masonry, but that’s not all it has.

The storefront with this theme is clean. It has AJAX powered product filters, responsive design, nice effects, and it performs well.

It’s no huge fuss, but it’s easy enough to start with.

4. Store

Free

The guy who created this deserves a mention for his fantastic creations which he shares with public for no charge.

Store is one such superb creation.

Store

Whether or not it’s “the last eCommerce WordPress theme you will ever need”, it’s certain it’ll give that last theme a thorough wrangling. It packs multiple layouts, featured images and products showcase, configurable sidebar widths, sleek and advanced menu + navigation systems, 3D sliders, Google Fonts and font awesome icons, awesome animations, and clean, coherent code + design.

On top of that it’s available in multiple skins and color options; because Rohit Tripathi is a Good Samaritan like that.

5. Market

Free

Guess who created this little beauty? Hint: He also created Store.

Market theme

Yep.

Market is a free WooCommerce compatible theme by… you guessed it, Rohit Tripathi. The theme comes loaded with simple, sweet, super-useful features like Social Icons, multiple Menu bars, amazing animations, custom widgets, and nicely designed and well put together Shop front and a Proper Theme options Panel.

What more could you want from a free theme? Support? He provides that too.

Told you he’s a boy scout.

Endnote

There are countless more where these came from.

Make sure you read the full feature lists, test the demos, let your developers take a long look at documentation, and check the reviews/comments for good measure before buying any theme, listed here or elsewhere.
